I began my journey in the College Student Services Administration (CSSA) master’s degree program at Oregon State University (OSU) officially September 15th, 2015 — I’m now reflecting on my experiences and my next steps in the world of higher education & student affairs administration. This has been an incredible journey that has both challenged and informed my personal & professional identity through scholarship, research, and work experience. This blog is intended to partially demonstrate my competency in Student Affairs, as outlined by the CSSA program.

The photography on this website has all been taken by me (unless you see credit elsewhere), and the photography represents both my professional skillset in digital communication, as well as my interest in the architecture and spaces that are present in the university setting. Being a university photographer has opened my eyes to the beauty of the college experience, and to how carefully designed spaces can nurture and empower the minds of the future.

Thank you,

James A. Thomas IV
